2017 Audi A4 2.0T1
2017 Acura TLX
A car should never make you choose between power or handling. The TLX comes standard with Precision All-Wheel Steer™, Agile Handling Assist® to aid in cornering, and an 8-speed Dual Clutch automatic transmission plus torque converter. Meanwhile, the A4 sits content with its 7-speed DCT, requiring a turbocharger to generate power. The larger displacement engine of the TLX does not require turbo power and still outperforms A4, with 206-hp compared to 190.
Looking for even more horses? The TLX is also available with a potent 9-speed, 290-hp V6 with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™.
It’s rare that we discover a 4-cylinder engine that rivals a V6 for vibration-free smoothness, lag-free acceleration and quiet running. Acura’s 2.4 Liter twin-cam, direct injected i-VTEC 4-cylinder does all the aforementioned without protest and does so while sipping gasoline.
Torque News, April 2016
Attractively stylish, impeccable and thoughtfully detailed, loaded with useful technology, beautifully finished, the exquisite 2016 Acura TLX will be wonderful for buyers but perhaps not so amusing for the competition.
