Comfort and control distinguish genuine sport sedans from the rest. Both characteristics were top of mind when Acura engineers developed the front and rear suspensions on the TLX.
- For the front-wheel drive P-AWS® models, the front MacPherson struts have been tuned to reduce torque steer and distracting steering wheel vibration.
- Both the front strut and multi-link rear systems are mounted on separate sub-frames, connected to the body by hydraulic mounts. This solution noticeably improves ride comfort.
- The rear suspension on SH-AWD® models, plus the rear sub-frame mounting points, are tuned specifically to accommodate the additional forces generated from the driven rear wheels.
- The Amplitude Reactive Dampers feature one internal spring to absorb road irregularities, like potholes and expansion joints and a second stiffer spring to control larger body movements during hard cornering.
