Blind Spot Information (BSI) System

The blind spot information (BSI) system increases confidence during lane changes.

  • If the system detects a vehicle in the adjacent lane’s “alert zone”, an indicator appears on that side’s windshield pillar and also on the Multi-Information Display (MID) screen.
  • If the driver activates the turn signal in the direction a vehicle has been detected, the pillar indicator on the corresponding side flashes and a warning beep sounds.
  • So the indicators don’t come on at stoplights, when parking, or when traveling in stop-and-go traffic, the system is only active when the TLX is traveling over 20 MPH.
