PerformanceThe TLX 3.5L V-6 comes standard with a new 9-Speed automatic transmission and Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS®). On the Q50, the 7-speed automatic feels two gears short of a full deck, and the rear wheels don’t multitask. Available Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD®) provides you with precision torque vectoring on twisty roads, something the Q50 AWD system can’t deliver.

Driver AssistsApproach a red light in the TLX, come to complete stop, and then take your foot off the brake pedal. Brake Hold—standard on every model—can keep the car right where it is. The brakes hold while your foot takes a break. When the light turns green, simply apply the accelerator, and the brakes release imperceptibly. Do not attempt this maneuver in the Q50. Repeat: Do not.

InteriorWant heated front seats, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat and a moonroof on the Q50? Well, open your wallet. They’re costly extras on the Infiniti but standard equipment on the Acura. Looking for cooling, ventilated front seats and text and email smartphone integration44? Those features aren’t even available on the Infiniti but they’re available on the TLX.
