The ILX achieved a Top Safety Pick designation by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) by earning their top rating ("Good") in frontal and side impact crash tests, as well as rollover and rear impact evaluations.

ALG Residual Value

Acura currently holds the Automotive Lease Guide (ALG) Residual Value Award for Overall Luxury Brand. Acura has previously earned this honor in 2009 and 2010 and has never ranked below 2nd placed for the past five years.

“Surprisingly, the ILX 2.0 is pleasantly peppy; though it trails a few competitors in terms of power … an ILX so equipped is relatively quick, thanks in part to a transmission that's quick to respond to throttle input with a downshift. Still, we found ourselves enjoying the 2.4-liter I-4 the most. Sure, the extra power is a bonus, but the manual transmission is one of the best to come from Honda to date -- the clutch is perfectly weighted and boasts linear take-up, and shift throws are smooth, short, and positive.”
